Two Flutter apps for DG Ferry (DG Sea Connect), which runs the RoRo ferry between Hazira and Ghogha in Gujarat: a passenger app for booking voyages and an agent app for travel agents who book on behalf of customers.
The problem
Passengers and agents needed to book ferry seats and vehicle space from a phone, in their own language, with dependable sign-in and data that holds up on weak coastal connections.
The approach
The passenger app offers one-way and round trips, voyage search by date, passenger and vehicle categories, travel classes, offers, bookings, PNR enquiry, refunds and cancellation, in English, Hindi, Gujarati and Marathi. The agent app adds a wallet and credit dashboard and the same booking flow for agents.
The build
Flutter, REST APIs, secure multi-layer authentication, encrypted local storage and offline-first data sync. About 5 months for each app as Flutter Developer at Instance IT Solutions in a team of two.
